Should I get tested for Diabetes?
Diabetes is a disease that occurs when your blood sugar, or glucose, is too high. If this remains elevated for an extended period or is uncontrolled, diabetes can damage your heart, blood vessels, eyes, kidneys, and nerves. This is why it is so important to get screened for diabetes and take steps to prevent it if you are identified to be at increased risk.
"I’m on the last leg of completing the Workshop on the Chronic Disease Self Management Programme. I found the 6 weeks course to be very beneficial and although I have a medical background, it was extremely informative. I was very privileged to be with a group who was always willing to share their thoughts and experiences in our interactive sessions. The Facilitators were some of the best and they each did a fantastic job in guiding, leading and controlling the sessions."
Do you have a Chronic Illness or do you think you may be at risk of developing a Chronic Illness such as Diabetes or Hypertension?
If your answer is yes, find out more about our Chronic Disease Self Management Programme (CDSMP).
